Adriana Cherskov
Adriana’s MPhil examined the relationship between women with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) and autism. Several studies found an association between these, which are thought to be mediated by a common underlying pathway involving elevated prenatal androgens. Adriana used the Clinical Practice Research Datalink to explore this association. Adriana came to Cambridge from Princeton University where she studied molecular biology. Her research project there focused on the cerebellum in the development of autism using delay eyeblink conditioning in mouse autism models.
She was funded by a Gates scholarship and is now back in the US at medical school.
