Doctoral Scientist

David’s PhD interests are on people’s preferences for order and symmetry. In his research, with Prof Simon Baron-Cohen and Dr Carrie Allison, he focuses on people’s need for specific alignment/order or symmetric arrangements of objects; especially how those innate traits differ in the general population from those with autism or obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD).

Before embarking on a science journey as a MPhil student at the Behavioural and Clinical Neuroscience Institute (BCNI) at the University of Cambridge, David has been an entrepreneur in the financial software industry over a decade. David holds a B.Sc. degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Iceland and runs a company he founded alongside his graduate studies.
