Dr Jenny Parker

Senior Clinical Research Associate and Honorary Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist

Dr Jenny Parker is a Senior Clinical Research Associate and Honorary Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist at NHS North East London Foundation Trust (NELFT) as well as Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children.

She has over 18 years’ experience working in child and adolescent psychiatry in the NHS, as well as time spent working clinically in the Specialist Education and Care Sectors.

Dr Parker’s extensive experience in Neuropsychiatry was recognised on becoming a Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists in 2021.

She is an elected member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Faculty Executive Committee, and is the Neurodevelopmental Disorders representative on the Royal College of Psychiatry Autism Group and Neurodevelopmental Psychiatry Special Interest Group.

Dr Parker is regularly involved in teaching and training of junior doctors and non-medical colleagues across health, care and education sectors and was recently interviewed for a Royal College of Psychiatry podcast on ADHD in children and young people.

Her current research interest focuses on exploring and understanding factors in autistic children without learning difficulties who have high needs, particularly in the specialist education sector.
