Jennifer Barnes

Jennifer Barnes completed her undergraduate degree at Yale University, where the majority of her research focused on primate and child cognition. She graduated in May 2006 with a degree in Cognitive Science. She completed an MPhil degree at the Autism Research Centre, supported by the US-UK Fulbright Commission, investigating pragmatics/theory of mind in narrative in autism. She returned to Yale to pursue a PhD which she was awarded in 2012. Jennifer is an Associate Professor at the University of Oklahoma, where she holds a dual appointment in Psychology and Professional Writing. She is the author of more than a dozen novels for young adults.
