Nicola Vince

Research Assistant

Nicola was a research assistant working with Professor Simon Baron-Cohen, Dr Carrie Allison, and the Cambridge Lifespan Autism Spectrum Service (CLASS) on the national 3Di project.

She completed her BSc in Applied Clinical Psychology at the University of Kent. Her research projects have included: investigating parental perceptions of challenging behaviour in autistic children, and comparing social and visual perspective taking in young people with and without an autism diagnosis. For her MSc, Nicola investigated familial identity where a child is receiving palliative care. Prior to her current role, she spent 5 years working clinically within CAMHS and paediatric services.

Nicola’s research interests include the physical health of autistic individuals, particularly within oncology and palliative care settings. She is passionate about service user involvement and is active in ensuring that everyone has a voice to make changes within clinical and research settings.
